PAUL'S(30/10/2006)
Done this for you all, this is from his solo set from the self support gig thing that we are planning and as with db's acoustic stuff it doesn't really fit anywhere within the Gonzoid setup. FUnk In tHe WaR ZoNE which it must be said is a far more tangible title than his usual offerings. More solo offerings to come in the future.

SO
(26/10/2006)
The new computer is finally up and running, let the recording commence.

AN EXECUTIVE
(22/10/2006)
Decision has been taken and this is it...
The philosophy of a new tune a week will (now that we have used all our completed old stuff up) significantly harm the progress of the next EP and the recording of that must take priority over everything. If everybody buys the GONZOID EP then we will be able to give up our day jobs and do nothing but record, then sure we could do a new tune a week at least, unfortunately in the meanwhile we gotta do jobs. Do not despair though something new will be added once a week at least, though who knows what that might be. Anyway we will have put up a tune a week for a year in a few weeks so there will be new tunes till then, Margaret Thatcher will be guesting soon. It looks like our Londinium debut will be in February, watch out for more details as soon as we get them.

Here is this weeks update its one we forgot we had and I dont know what its title was. So, instrumental, badly recorded, old ' The One With No title'

DONT
(15/10/2006)
Listen to this one at bedtime, or maybe that's when you should listen to it! this week we have a scary one, its another sonic experiment We found the backing hidden away on the P3's hard drive whilst preparing for the big changeover in computers, the chap who we bought the new one off has sent one with a 160Gb hard drive not the 120 advertised but don't tell anyone, that's a whole other albums worth of space before we need to upgrade again. Anyway update weird one, scary, 'Sort of reminds me of when I burned the dead for a living (db)' Demonic musing indeed.

HERE WE ARE
(08/10/2006)
I only finished the words yesterday and it is nothing like anything else on this site, I don't usually let anyone outside the gang hear these proto songs but the time has come to inflict another side of myself on you, the unsuspecting listener. 'Buddhist Headdress' is its title and its the first of a series of 5 new solo acoustic songs that will be appearing here in due course, in fact they are so new I might only have written 4 of them so far.db

THIS SUNDAY
(07/10/2006)
The update will be a totally new, started recording it today, unheard before, only written recently, bearing my soul to the world, acoustic guitar and voice with no effects editing or technical wizardry of any kind update. I thought that as Paul is off to somewhere beginning with L near Russia I would record one of my new songs, I have been working on this one for the self support gig and its about the way the political leaders of the free world left China to ransack Tibet and sat on their arses doing nothing while Chinese soldiers cracked buddhist heads open with batons and destroyed thousands of years of peaceful culture. db

Bonkers

UPGRADE UPDATE FOR THE TECHNICALLY INTERESTED
(06/10/2006)
Recording on our next EP will begin next week, soon as the upgraded recording computer gets here. Yee Haa!!! We've been recording on a 933 Mhz P3 with a paltry 64Mb RAM for the last 5 years but thanks to money were getting a 3.2Ghz P4 with 512 Mb RAM. The P3's hard drive is nearly full too, only 10Gb left (80Gb and 40Gb HDD's) the P4 has a single 120Gb HDD which should keep us busy for a while.

PAUL (01/10/2006)
Has wanted this one up for a while, he has titled it 'Blue Puke'
for some reason that only he knows, its the companion tune to 'albert's grudge' from the ep. Produced entirely within 'reason' (The program that is) its quite long or too short or just right depending on how long you like your music.
Also we are now number 7 in the UBL misc chart and number 60 in their ultimate 100.

ALLEGATIONS
(26/09/2006)
Have been made that we will be making our London debut in November with some of the other bands from the WTFD label. That would be one hell of a gig as WTFD have a roster of really interesting bands. The main thing they look for is creativity wherever it occurs. We will keep you posted.

THE INTERNET
(24/09/2006)
Is a cracking place to find vocals when you need em! Today's tune started out life as a cover version of 'frightened' by mark e smith and his merry minstrels, it was only after the soundtrack was finished that we realized we didn't have the velvety tonsils of mark e to do the vocal stuff so vocals had to be sourced elsewhere. Hippies have always been an endless source of amusement where we come from so we thought to contrast with mark e we would have hippies, and low and behold the internet supplied one. So all round this is nicked from places, the music from mark e and the vocals from some buddhist hippy bloke who puts this stuff up online for people to lovingly connect with .... "Lovely Everything".... and its got some fairly outlandish guitar solos, long ones, on it, in keeping with the whole hippy thing we thought.

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT
(17/09/2006)
The final piece is in place, our copyright breaching cover version of the theme tune for 'Steptoe and Son' is the last track off the demos that we have released. Next week its on to the unreleased stuff.

THIS WEEK(10/09/2006)
We have another live one for you, DUMBFOUNDED Live
recorded at a recent gig its noisy, this track is definitely one of our favourite's to perform. Incidentally we are a featured band on UBL this week so a big thanks to them for their support.

18 th NOVEMBER
(04/09/2006)
Is the next time we have been booked to play live, we will be playing at a night of duos once again at corners bar. Its the brainchild of Dean who plays the guitar solo at the end of the not live recording of 'Oh Danny We Are Not The Beautiful People Are We' . Anyhow Gonzoid gig 18th november, new live songs will be aired for the first time. More on this later.

THIS ONES
(03/09/2006)
Got bells on it and a cuckoo clock also a motorbike and some cows. Museum Dub. we should do more like this. We were number 18 in the UBL misc chart the other week, though were not sure of the judging criteria. Only one more tune to put up then all three demo albums will be here. Better get recording some new stuff.
